My family loves nuts and we eat them quite a bit. We love homemade almond butter and soon I will be posting a super easy recipe for that. But this time we wanted something sweet and salty and this is what I did. You can swap the almonds for some other type of nut or what is also good is to use this method for sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds and throw them over a salad.
400 gr almonds
2 tablespoons Teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon runny honey or maple syrup
Roast the almonds in a dry pan until they start to get a bit of color. Pour over the teriyaki sauce and honey/maple syrup and let it coat the nuts. You might want to add a bit more of teriyaki, taste and adjust. Pour the nuts onto a baking sheet and try to spread them out as much as you can so they don’t stick together. Leave to cool and enjoy with an ice cold beer :)
